The Crawford Plains School Council meets monthly to plan and discuss special events and to provide input into the learning opportunities being provided in the school. Staff and parents work closely together to build community connections, enhance communication and nurture positive learning opportunities for all children at Crawford Plains. We welcome new members any time throughout the year to become engaged in the dialogue. We meet on the third Monday of every month.
Parent Council (PATT)
The Crawford Plains PATT, Parents and Teachers Together, helps parents connect and gives them a voice in the life of the school. Our parents are a vital part of the school community at Crawford Plains. The relationships we build between home and school provide strength and lasting value for our children and our future. Crawford Plains PATT meets on the third Monday of every month directly after the School Council meeting.
The PATT is involved with fundraising activities throughout the year which include:
- Monthly hot lunches
- Various fundraisers
Funds raised from the above activities are put toward enhancing the learning opportunities of all students. PATT has been a strong supporter of many school initiatives such as:
- Four mobile chromebook labs
- iPads for every classroom
- School-wide wireless network
- Grade 6 book donations to upgrade the library
- Artist in Residence
- Classroom field trips
- Year-end activities
- New books for the library
- Support for school wide events
